At the peak of covid, one of the families from Madhya Pradesh using all modes of transport visited RCHI with their child with symptoms of shortness of breath and bluish skin colouration. On discussion, we found out that the parents are wage workers and lost their jobs during the pandemic. The baby was diagnosed with Transposition of the Great Arteries (TGA). The family walked in with Rs. 4000 without financial assistance. Despite that, as doctors, we decided to operate on the case given the criticality and urgency. The child is treated and now living a normal life
